Agosto or not Agosto?...anyway here's the lyrics...

Hey guys!
Just got back from Slovenia, it was a nice weekend in the countryside recording and relaxing...and I felt it was time to post something on the blog, especially a translation of the lyrics to my song since nobody knew what i was singing about... : )
I guess - yeah i just realised! - the text is about different moments, something that belongs to the past, some present uncertainty and a big huge question mark for the future.

Here's the lyrics and the translation too:

It's been a real challenge for me trying to write something and I'm really happy a real song came out of it!! : )
Now there's a big dilemma...that is the title. I'm not that sure about Agosto, but I don't have another option either at the moment.......soooo
i'll let you know! anyway, suggestions are obviously welcome...

I think we've all done great till now and I'm looking forward to have you svenska compisar here in Italy!

How it all started

I must say that Swit Music is developing into something both bigger and nicer then I imagined possible in the beginning. After having spent 9 very intensive days together in southern Sweden I feel happy, proud and astonished over where things has lead us. I imagined a small project, maybe 5-6 from each country recording 4-5 songs and mostly playing covers at the concerts, but the musicians wanted something better.

Now we (ok, "they") have recorded almost 6 songs and still have some recording days left. Swedes are writing music for Italians, people are contributing to each others songs with intros and details spontaneously during the week. Nicoletta, who never really wrote her own songs before came up with a beautiful song "Agosto" from nowhere. People started saying at the concerts that they would like to buy Pradits CD. Marco, who never really played his own songs live before rocked at the concerts in Malmö - and I am not just saying that because he is my guy! We couldn't have gotten a better recording coach or sound technician than Marcin, we all just love him.

There is an atmosphere in the group that is magic sometimes, and that is something me or my brother Simon could never create no matter how much planning or time we'd put on this project, it is just there.

Many people have asked how it all started, where did I get the idea to involve people in this Swedish-Italian music project. To make a long story short I found the information on "Youth Initiative" by chance when searching for funding opportunities for health projects in Africa for my current job. It seemed easy and I got stressed over the fact that you had to be under 30 to do it, a bit of a last chance for me... so sent a bit cryptic message to Marcin at MBA Records trying to figure out what time frame and costs were realistic to produce a CD. Then I emailed some friends that I thought might be interested and asked around a bit, thinking that the minimum requirements on 4 participants from each country wouldn't be that difficult to find.

Nicoletta, always optimistic and likes traveling and meeting new people was in at once. Mattias answered quickly from Sweden and was enthusiastic, so did Stefano here in Italy "Frida, you have my full support". My brother Simon got involved and took a big practical and legal responsibility for the project. And then bit by bit all the other members joined in. The most difficult persons to find were the drummers, and in the end we got two, both very good with very different styles, or like Marco said, "it is a luxury having two this good drummers in a band, if you want one style you ask Jonathan and if you want another style you ask Johannes".

Planning and rehearsing on a distance with people you have never played with before or maybe havn't even meet is tricky, and I think everyone was very relieved when they discovered a week ago that this could work and become something really good. It has been long and late hours and no vacation trip for the members. Recording sessions starting at 8 in the morning and rehearsing hours until 1 in the night most days. But I think everyone agrees on that it has been worth it and the CD will be something really special.
