Just got back from Slovenia, it was a nice weekend in the countryside recording and relaxing...and I felt it was time to post something on the blog, especially a translation of the lyrics to my song since nobody knew what i was singing about... : )
I guess - yeah i just realised! - the text is about different moments, something that belongs to the past, some present uncertainty and a big huge question mark for the future.
Here's the lyrics and the translation too:
Non so dove sei - I don't know where you are
Non so con chi sei - I don't know who you are with
Mi vesto nel sole d'agosto - I dress myself in the August sun
mi metto un maglione pesante - and put on a heavy jumper
che non c'entra niente - that really doesn't fit
per nascondermi alla gente - to hide myself from people
E ottengo l'effetto contrario - But i get the opposite effect
chi passa mi fissa passers - by are staring at me
si chiede il perchè - wondering what's the reason
del mio abbigliamento - for this unordinary outfit
poco ordinario
Non so dove sei - I don't know where you are
Non so con chi sei - I don't know who you are with
Vorrei poter dire che - I wish I could say that
quella mia parte nascosta - I almost saw
l'ho quasi intravista - that hidden part of me
ho trovato una risposta - that i got an answer
Per ora attraverso - For now I'm walking through
la nebbia più fitta - the thickest fog
ho il dubbio di essermi persa - I guess I got lost
di essermi persa... - I got lost...
Non so dove sei - I don't know where you are
Non so con chi sei - I don't know who you are with
Non so dove sei - I don't know where you are
Non so con chi sei - I don't know who you are with
So this is it!
It's been a real challenge for me trying to write something and I'm really happy a real song came out of it!! : )
Now there's a big dilemma...that is the title. I'm not that sure about Agosto, but I don't have another option either at the moment.......soooo
i'll let you know! anyway, suggestions are obviously welcome...
I think we've all done great till now and I'm looking forward to have you svenska compisar here in Italy!
puss och kramar
